Students Work with Applebee's, Create New Drinks
Business students creating drinks at Applebee'sOn Thursday, February 27th, business students in grades 10-12 participated in an event in which they worked with Applebee’s of Miller Place to create new drinks for their “Mocktail” menu. Applebee’s provided students with various ingredients to create the new drinks, and students were also able to taste and redevelop their products as needed.

As students worked to create the new drinks, managers from Applebee’s rated each drink according to taste, appeal, sales price, cost, and product name. The winning drinks, “Miami Breeze,” “Messy Mango,” and “Cliff-diver,” will be offered as part of the Mocktail menu at Applebee’s in Miller Place within the next few weeks and students will track their sales.

Overall, this event was an excellent way for students to learn about product development and the restaurant industry. A special thank you to Applebee’s and Matt Czachor, Megan Gargan, and Mike Mihovics for working with our students.

Make sure you visit Applebee’s in Miller Place and try one of the new Mocktails!
