COVID-19 Testing Information

There is a testing site for Coronavirus at SUNY Stony Brook University in South P Lot. Only those experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus will be tested. Call 1-888-364-2065 if you feel you have contracted the virus. No doctor's referrals are necessary.

Distance Learning

All elementary school students are currently working on assignments in packets that were sent home. Links to the packets can be found here. Students in grades 6-12 are accessing coursework through Google Classroom. We have also created a Distance Learning Resources page for parents.

Special Education Meetings

Annual Reviews, CPSE, CSE and 504 meetings that were scheduled for the next two weeks have been postponed. Some of these sessions are being held via phone conference, as outlined in this letter. If you have questions regarding your Annual Review, please email Rob Pearl, District Administrator for Pupil Personnel Services.

Standardized Tests

As per New York State, the following tests scheduled to be administered in the 2019-2020 school year have been suspended:

  • NYS Grades 3-8 English Language Arts & Math Exams

  • NYS Grades 4 & 8 Science Exams

  • NYS Grades K-12 NYSESLAT (English as a Second Language Achievement) Test

  • NYS Grades 3-12 Alternate Assessment for students with severe cognitive disabilities

We are still awaiting word regarding Regents Exams. As of March 28, 2020, they are still scheduled as normal.
