Comsewogue Breaks Ground on New Field House
Field House Groundbreaking

On Saturday, October 23, 2021 at our Homecoming festivities, Comsewogue School District officially broke ground on the new field house being constructed at the Tom Cassese Athletic Field at Comsewogue High School. In attendance were a number of District Administrators, Board of Education members and BBS architects, the designers and architects of the building.

The new field house, The John N. Swenning Sr. Field House, is being dedicated in honor of retired Board of Education President John Swenning, who served on our Board for 19 years and recently retired from his position on the Board after the 2020-2021 school year.

The new facility will be located at the same site as the old building, behind the bleachers, and will not only include a bigger more spacious press box, but additionally a brand new concession stand and permanent mens and womens bathrooms.

Information and details about the Field House can also be found on the BBS Architects website, and you can watch a short preview video on the BBS Architects YouTube Channel.
