Students at Clinton Avenue Elementary School recently participated in the school’s annual talent show on January 26th, showcasing their special talents to the audience, with all of their families present in the audience to watch all of the performances.

To kick off the show, Clinton faculty and staff performed a special medley from the movie “Annie,” with the songs “Hard Knock Life,” “Never Fully Dressed” and “Tomorrow.” Ms. Zariello, the School Social Worker, played the role of Annie, with kindergarten teacher Ms. Gerardi playing the role of Miss Hannigan and Principal Mr. Pearl acted as Bert Healey, the radio announcer. Ms. Bayer, Ms. Politis, Ms. Lussos, Ms. Lusak, Ms. Horeis, Ms. Graziano, Ms. Matarese, Ms. Osborn, Ms. Carolan, Ms. Sowa and Ms. Schumacher also participated in the performance.

After the teacher’s opening performance, a variety of different talents were showcased by the students. Acts during the talent show ranged from singing, to dancing, to ribbon twirling, with both individual and group acts performed. Many of the students sang songs including “You Are My Sunshine” and “Believer.”

Dancing and cheerleading were two other popular talents that everyone had the opportunity to watch. Popular songs such as “All in This Together” from High School Musical, “Love Story” by Taylor Swift and “Shut Up and Dance” by Walk the Moon were performed by groups of students.
