High school business students recently participated in mock interviews at Brookhaven Town Hall, gaining valuable real-world experience and practice. Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich partnered with the Business Education Department to offer this wonderful opportunity to students.

Students arrived dressed professionally, learning the importance of presenting themselves in a polished manner—a crucial skill for future success.

Councilmember Kornreich and numerous other professionals from various fields, including Human Resources, Law, IT, and Finance, shared their insights into local government and civil service. Students were able to ask questions and gain a firsthand understanding of what it is like to interview with professionals in different career areas.

The mock interviews gave students a chance to practice their skills, receive constructive feedback, and hone in on their communication and presentation abilities.

The event left a lasting impact, preparing students for their futures and demonstrated the skills needed to find success in the 21st century.
